Vasant Panchami Celebration
Our Fertilizernagar School celebrated Vasant Panchami on February 05, 2022 with great fervour and positivity.

Goddess Saraswati, is the goddess of learning, as it is believed the Goddess Saraswati was born on this day. Students, musicians, and artists perform Saraswati Puja on this day. Women wearing bright yellow clothes enhance the beauty of this day of Basant Panchami even more.

Vasant Panchami or Basant Panchami also known as Saraswati Puja is celebrated for the arrival of “King of all seasons” Spring. The festival is celebrated at the end of Magh month which is usually the end of January and the beginning of February. According to mythology Lord Brahma created the universe on this day.

In the eastern part of India, the festival is celebrated as Saraswati Puja, particularly in West Bengal and Bihar. However in north India, especially in Punjab, the festival is celebrated with kites, in Rajasthan, it is a tradition of wearing jasmine garland on this day. The Vasant Panchami also marks the start of preparation for Holika and Holi, which take place forty days later.
