World Environment Day Celebration June 2023

Environment Control Division organized the following events as a part of WED 2023 celebrations on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”:

Co-sponsored GPCB’s painting competition at IOCL Community Hall on a theme in line with the Mission Life Campaign by the Children of Primary Schools (@500) from nearby villages on 3rd June. There were 75 students participating in this painting competition from Fertilzernagar School's Primary Gujarati and English Medium sections.

The theme for World Environment Day on 5 June 2023 focussed on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution. The world is being inundated by plastic. More than 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year, half of which is designed to be used only once.
