Teachers Day at Fertilizerngar School

September 5th is the birth anniversary of Dr S Radhakrishnan, second president of Independent India, who himself was a teacher, philosopher and educationist. In year 1965, some of the students of late Dr S Radhakrishnan approached him to seek permission to celebrate his birthday September 05, 1888 as special day. He expressed deep reservation regarding celebration of his birth anniversary and emphasized that it should be celebrated as 'Teachers Day' instead to recognize the contribution of teachers to society and since 1967, September 5th is celebrated as Teachers Day.

At Fertilizernagar School, Teachers Day was celebrated on September 06, 2021 (Sep 05, 2021 being Sunday) to acknowledge hard work of teachers who mould young minds into responsible citizens. Nearly 66 students played role of teachers and conducted physical / on-line classes taking help of newly created smart classroom infrastructure of school. All the students performed their roles judiciously following prevailing COVID-19 guidelines of wearing masks, keeping safe distance and using hand sanitizer.

Students who played role of teachers were given small memento by BMFNS and they reciprocated by giving handmade cards and flowers to their teachers. On this special occasion, students prayed with respect to teachers who taught them not just math and science, but how to never back down and become better human beings holding their heads high.
